Born, raised, and educated in Baltimore County.

Played in popular top 40s/rock band The Gents from 1978 - 1983. Played regularly at The Patapsco Inn, Christopher's, Mr. Pipps, and a bunch of other places that aren't around any more.

Musical influences -  Keith Emerson, Tony Banks, Thomas Dolby

I took private lessons from a classical pianist from Peabody when I was a kid, but changed to playing drums because they were much cooler!  The only problem was that I wasn't very good.  Then synthesizers started appearing on more and more recordings, and I found my calling.  First rock concert - Emerson, Lake and Palmer on the Brain Salad Surgery tour.  My ears didn't stop ringing for two days.  I loved it!

Why I am doing this? - During college, music was my living and an important part of my life , but upon graduation, I had to start a real job.  After a twenty plus year hiatus, Beyond Logic has given me the opportunity to rekindle the musical flame with people I enjoy at a pace I can handle.  Plus my wife and two boys can finally get a chance to see why I have so much equipment in the basement!
